Mattawan’s rolling terrain and proximity to local vineyards create a recipe for water intrusion. The grape-friendly soils in areas like 49071 hold moisture from spring rains and irrigation, increasing pressure against basement walls and floors. This can force water into cracks, leading to damage or mold. With over 20 Mattawan homes waterproofed, EverDry’s experts understand the specific challenges these soils and microclimates bring. Don’t wait for the next thunderstorm or snowmelt to put your property at risk—explore our full range of basement waterproofing services to protect your investment.
Every street in Mattawan brings different basement water risks, from clay pockets to low-lying blocks near vineyards. Our team knows the microclimates and adapts solutions for every ZIP code.
Homes toward the eastern vineyard border in 49071 experience seepage after heavy irrigation. Our team installs multi-step drainage systems here to redirect moisture before it hits the basement.
Older properties in the central downtown area often have porous foundations that take on water during spring thaws. Here, interior drainage and foundation sealing are the go-to fixes.
Westside Mattawan tends to see pooling after storms, especially in lower-elevation yards. Total excavation and upgraded yard drainage help keep these basements dry all year.
Rural properties to the south can face water intrusion due to irrigation runoff from surrounding farmland. Multi-layered exterior waterproofing works best for deep and older basements.

Jim Glick came and explained everything very well. What the company covers and how their system works. He understood what I was looking for and offered me just that.Posted on Google Melanie PageTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. David came out and spent 90 minutes being one of the best salesmen I've ever encountered in real life. He FIRST tells you which color on the test means mold before he tests for mold. It's the bad color. He FIRST tells you which number is acceptable for wall moisture before he places the device on the wall and gets the measurement. It's a bad measurement. He tells you the things floating in the flashlight beam is also mold, though I could have sworn those were known as dust motes. He tells you how water falls into the hole that was dug to create your home and everything is moving, just like when you stand on the beach and the water washes in and you feel yourself slowly sinking. You know what it's like to stand on a beach. He tells you with their special machine, you'll never have to dust again. He tells you have a really nice house and you've taken good care of it, praising your home and efforts, but if you trust EverDry, they can make everything great, permanently, so you don't feel like you're living in a dump. He takes photos and prints them from the trunk of his Cadillac. He measures the square footage and then pulls out a pre-made sheet and tells you the total cost to do all the things: $28,000. You don't even have water in your basement; you just want to add longevity to the current foundation. You feel like nothing about the offer is tailor made to your home because there is no itemized estimate. He lets you know that if you want financing, it's about 10% to 11% interest that compounds daily. You need to put $500 down. Your house is so tempting, he says, because he feels that if he can squeeze you in between other jobs when the crew is waiting around, they'll reduce the price. However, you have to agree that you will only get 24-48 hours' notice. You tell him you work from home and can't have noise while you're working. He continues to say you only get 24-48 hours' if you want the special deal, so you feel like he doesn't care and isn't listening. You say you need time to talk to your bank about financing, and he emphasizes that financing is financing, that you'll have to pay off the loan faster through your bank and that you should sign with him today. You tell him you're going to take a week to think about it. Uninvited, he says he'll stop by in two days. Later, you get a call from EverDry asking how David was. You are evasive and say that he said everything clearly, because he did. He was very clearly a salesman who wanted to close on a $28,000 contract after a 90-minute spiel. But we're not done yet. Two weeks later, you receive communication from EverDry asking you to confirm an appointment to go over pricing options at your home. You do not confirm the appointment, as you never made an appointment. EverDry had more invited themselves to your home. So, if that's what you're looking for as a homeowner, 5/5 stars, no notes.Posted on Google Emmanuel MelecioTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The soils that help vineyards thrive also retain moisture, especially when combined with irrigation. Excess water collects near your foundation and seeps into cracks and joints in your basement. Frequent saturation increases the risk of leaks, wall damage, or even mold. EverDry uses specialized systems designed for these soil conditions, protecting your home from the unique moisture risks faced around Mattawan’s agricultural settings.
If you’re dealing with active flooding, our team prioritizes emergencies and works as quickly as possible. We can often begin with an assessment within a couple of days, depending on the demand and season. Once evaluated, our team provides a timeline for tailored installation, ensuring your basement is protected without long waits, even after the biggest storms.
Yes, many 1970s homes in Mattawan have basement walls lacking modern waterproofing or drainage protection. Over time, this leads to cracks and seepage, especially after vineyard irrigation or heavy rains. Our team frequently upgrades older foundations here with wall support and proper drainage to ensure lasting dryness, regardless of your home’s age.
Hidden leaks, even small ones, can quickly turn into larger water problems and foundation damage, especially given Mattawan’s soil moisture. Addressing leaks right away protects your home and prevents more costly repairs down the line. We always recommend acting before minor issues grow worse so you can enjoy a dry, healthy basement from the start.
A sump pump can help remove water, but it rarely addresses the full moisture load or the underlying cause of leaks—especially in vineyard soils. EverDry’s solutions target seepage at its source with layered, permanent systems. For full protection against Mattawan’s unique challenges, a professional approach is the better investment.
